Roasted red pepper and basil hummus

A quick and easy dip to prepare for family and friends.

1 can (19oz/540mL) chick peas, drained
18 fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup roasted red peppers, well-drained
1/4-1/3 cup Bick's Hot Pepper Relish
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cumin

Dippers: crackers, pita wedges, fresh vegetable sticks

1. Combine all ingredients in food processor. Puree until smooth. Cover and chill until using.
2. Serve in a bowl with your favourite crackers and breadsticks.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes Makes: about 2 1/2 cups (625 mL)

Bick's Quick Tip: . Add Bick's Hot Pepper Relish to your favourite hummus recipe or purchased product.
. Chill overnight for optimum flavour. Hummus will keep well for 1 week in the refrigerator. (NC)
