Travel Trailer Clubs Association of Ontario Gathers in Ruthven, Ontario for Rally

By Harold Merton

Member clubs of the Travel Trailer Clubs Association of Ontario gathered in Ruthven, Ontario for their semi-annual rally held in conjunction with the Ruthven Apple Festival. TTCAO is an organization of RV clubs with these member clubs operating independently but coming together with other member clubs twice a year for a major rally.

The organization has a long history in RV circles in Ontario, going back
many years and scores of successful rallies. Each of the member clubs has a responsibility for the rallies and we have always found this group to put on an event that we have thoroughly enjoyed. This rally was held in grounds adjacent to the Ruthven Apple Festival site and club members enjoy both the Festival and the rally itself. Colasanti's is a major garden centre in the Leamington area and also operates a fine restaurant. Members enjoyed a buffet meal and then a game of mini-golf on the indoor course.

At the campsite hospitality was held in the evenings giving members an opportunity to meet with friends for social time. The weather favored both the TTCAO group and the Apple Festival. This allowed the campers to watch the parade that concluded on the grounds and to wander back and forth to the many craft and food booths set up right next to the camping area.

The fine weather also allowed for outdoor meetings for the TTCAO group. TTCAO would like to have other camping clubs join their organization to strengthen their numbers.

Clubs join as a group and pay a reasonable club membership fee. Individual members do not pay any additional fee when the club becomes an affiliate of TTCAO. If your camping group has an interest in TTCAO contact Scope and we'll put you in touch with them. We have enjoyed TTCAO rallies for many years and this was no exception. We always look forward to attending their functions.
