The Canadian Family Camping Federation Incorporated is a federally incorporated camping group made up of members from all walks of life, in all parts of Canada, who are interested in family camping and the future development of camping as a healthy and fun filled way of life.

It was formed to permit the sharing of RV travel, camping and experiences with others through campouts, social events, films and other media.

Their purposes are to encourage familes to take part in camping, hiking and other outdoor activities as a family unit, to promote the development or improved utilization and management of our natural resources for future generation, to provide the friendly welcome and assistance to members and fellow campers. To maintain a Canadian identity and promote Canadian camping facilities and to emphasize and encourage safety practices while caming, hiking, boating, swimming and travelling.

The federation is governed by elected officers and is constructed of a National Board, and local clubs.

The National Board correlates activities, gathers and distributes information and makes know the purpose and objectives of the Federation and its members.

The local clubs are national members who meet as a group of families at a local level. Each club has its own elected officers and conducts its affairs as it wishes but within the national constitution of the organiztion. Local clubs have the opportunity to conduct social activities along with informative discussions, speakers, films etc. During the camping season clubs organize theme camp outs, hikes cookouts etc.

Any individual or family with an interest in RV camping, trailering and hiking may join the association. Membership is by family (members of one household) and by individuals. Children over the age of 18 and living at home may become associate members.

The group publishes one of the oldest club publications in Canada -The Canadian Camper.
