WILDWOOD KOA IN FLORIDA IS A POPULAR SPOT FOR Rvers TRAVELLING SOUTH

By Harold Merton

If you are heading to central Florida you will probably be looking for a
good campground to stop at just before you venture into the Orlando tourism area. Many Canadian RVers like to stop and give the driver a bit of a rest before heading to their destination be it Disney or one of the campgrounds in the Orlando area. The Wildwood KOA has long been a favorite spot for campers as it is situated just a bit south of Ocala and a pleasant short drive into the Orlando area.

Scope visited the Wildwood KOA again during our last Florida trip as we had many times before in previous years. We find it a great starting point once you arrive in central Florida. This KOA is located at Exit 329 on I-75 north of the Florida turnpike.

They offer large pull-through sites was well as a tenting area and a number of Kamping Kabins.

There's a solar heated pool and a hot tub and the kids will be kept busy with the large playground and mini-golf. Adults will enjoy the shuffleboard court and a good walk around the spacious grounds. If you like there is fishing and boating nearby and of course it is an easy drive
to Walt Disney World and other Orlando attractions. Several restaurants are located within a short walking distance of the KOA if you prefer a break from the kitchen. Depending on your particular camping plans in the area, this campground may be in an ideal location at the start or conclusion of your Florida camping vacation.
