During our latest RV trip to Southern Arizona we stayed at an RV
park that had a few special RV sites laid out in a square.

There were sites with full hook-ups along each of the four sides of
the
square. Each site was a drive-through from a different direction with
the
result being that when occupied by four separate RVs, each of the
unit's
doors opened out onto a common greenspace in the centre of the square.
I must admit that I had never seen an RV park with a layout of this
type
and felt it was a very unique offering for RVers, especially for a
group of
friends who might like to camp together. When I met with the park
developer George O'Leary of Tucson, he gave me a little insight into
the ayout and the size of the sides. In this park each side is about
80 feet long giving lots of room for big coaches towing a car behind
to pull right into the spot. Pavement markings show drivers which
way to pull in and once pulled up to the correct spot the site utility
hookups are handy.
In the common space at each square are permanent barbecues, tables
and some patio chairs.
The square sites at this park - Rincon Country West in Tucson are
in the
pet area. This is a section of the park reserved especially for RVers
with pets. The pets may not be taken outside their area except in
a vehicle or RV. We found these special RV sites to be very popular.
Rincon Country West is a gated 55 plus luxury RV park on the southwest
side of Tucson with approximately 1,100 RV sites. It is one of the
finest parks we have had the opportunity to visit.
