The popular Holiday Nashville Travel Park has joined the Yogi Bear
Jellystone Park Camp Resort system. Readers may remember that we featured
the Nashville, Tennessee RV park previously in this publication. A
major part of the attraction of this campground, besides the excellent
facilities, was the friendliness of the staff including Manager Ben
Payne who more than once assisted us with a campsite when there were
very few in the area. Ben also assisted us and many of his other customers
with tickets to the Grand Ole Opry when the general public had difficulty
getting them. We always enjoyed our visits there and made a point
of stopping even if we were just passing through.

When we visited them last year they were busy putting up new signs
and erecting the familiar statue of Yogi Bear that graces the entrance
to all Yogi Bear Jellystone Parks. The campground owners had decided
to become a part of this popular, developing chain so that they might
offer the benefits of the Yogi system to their campers. Yogi parks
are extremely popular with children and offer special features geared
towards the younger campers. The park features long 50 amp pull-through
sites with a brand new pavilion, a new snack shack, and live country
music most nights.
They have earned a four star rating from Woodalls
for facilities and a
five star rating for their fantastic recreation facilities. A large
swimming pool, mini-golf, basketball, badminton, V-ball, planned activities
and local tours are just a part of the attractions that campers like.
Sites are all pull-through, a total of 238, with a typical site width
of 35
feet. 168 sites are full hookup, and there are 62 with water and electric.
They have cable TV and a central modem hook-up. Wireless internet
is
available in your RV. The park is just one mile from the Grand Ole
Opry and Opry Mills Mall. They are the closest campground to these
attractions. They also offer tours of Music City and Opry Star's Homes
and can supply tickets for both the Grand Ole Opry (transportation
available) and the General Jackson Showboat.

The spacious, shaded sites are close to the campground recreational
features, the two laundromats, convenience store and playgrounds.
They are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Westbound from I-40
east, exit at #215 (Briley Parkway) , go 5 1/2 miles north on Briley
Parkway. Southbound from I-65 N & Briley Parkway Opryland exit
go 4 1/2 miles south on Briley Parkway. On Briley Parkway go 1/4 mile
west on McGavock Pike, then 1 mile north on Music Valley Drive. The
kids will love it there and you probably will too. They still have
friendly staff too!
