TOURISTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF TIME SHARE MARKETING IN BRANSONBy Harold Merton
When you go to any major tourist area there are always those who want to tap into your wallet and time. In Branson there are a lot of time share people dispensing their phoney friendship hoping you will stop and talk for a few minutes so they can interest you in a time share. Quite often they offer extremely low cost attraction tickets as a lure to have you attend a seminar. The unfortunate thing is if you go and you were not interested in the first place, you have wasted a lot of time just to get a cheap ticket. Time share works for some people but I believe you want to do your homework first before you make a purchase on the spot. Branson does have some excellent time share properties and they are building a great new complex in the old downtown area. If you have an interest go there with that idea but if you don't then avoid the people with the little desks in the restaurants and on the street. I know they are just trying to earn a living but they steal your valuable time, time that has cost you a lot by the time you reach the area. Branson has lots to see and do so I doubt you have time to waste. A simple "no thank you" should be enough politeness when you are approached. If you are interested in discount show tickets at the last minute we discovered one place that acts as a clearing house for same day tickets. They do not sell time share but rather the tickets that are unsold for that day. Sometimes this can be a bargain. Same Day Tickets in located in a Dome building on Hwy 76 across from McDonalds. Matinee tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. till 2:45, evening show tickets on sale 4:30 p.m. to 7:45 and morning show tickets are sold on the previous day. Check them out if you wish - 336.2519 for information. This is a last minute clearance program and you have to see what they have at that time. Branson KOA Campground
