Disney’s New 750-Room Grand Californian Hotel Offers Guests the Beauty and Excitement of Early California

Capturing the spirit of early California through inspiring design and captivating architecture, Disney’s Grand California Hotel is a deluxe 750 room resort hotel property, offering a premium option for business or pleasure visits to the expanded Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, which opened in January, is the first Disney resort to be located inside the theme park the new Disney’s California Adventure and makes stays at the deluxe hotel a uniquely themed experience. The location also provides creative opportunities for groups and incentive sales program functions.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel celebrates the turn of the century romantic Craftsman movement of California. Designed to capture the artistic exploration of California’s coastline's with its Monterey pines and redwood forests, disney’s Grand California Hotel is layered with thememories of the arroyo craftsmen, the mission pioneers, the Plein Airschool of painters and inspiring architecture.

Among the deluxe guestrooms are 712 standard rooms, 34 Artisan suites, two vice presidential suites and two presidential suites. In addition, the resort offers over 20,000 square feet of meeting and banquet spacer anging from 12,600 square foot Sequois ballroom to smaller conference rooms. A fully equipped 1,300 square foot California boardroom is also featured.

The deluxe hotel offers 24 hours room service, its own entry gate into the Disney’s California Adventure theme park, and features rooms that overlook both the theme park and the exciting Downtown Disney entertainment area. For the corporate meetings guests, the hotel features meeting planners offices, a business centre and a dedicated meetings and conventions check-in facilities.Dining facilities found a Disney’s Grand California Hotel include the Napa Rose restaurant which celebrates the extraordinary bounty of California cuisine, from its eastcoast to its rich farms and vineyards. Executive Chef Andrew Sutton, formerly of Napa Valley’s Auberge deSoleil and the fames Mansion of Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas, will head the culinary team at this fine restaurant. The Napa Rose will offer an extensive selection of fine California wines. The Storytellers Cafe features family dining and conveys the power of storytelling through its decorative large scale murals. A Disney characters breakfast experience is also available.

Disney’s Grand California Hotel features Eureka Springs, a health club with state-of-the-art equipment, massage rooms as well as dry and steam saunas. The deluxe hotel has two heated pools, with a themed waterslide, two spas, a children’s pool, and a Concierge level with upgraded amenities and services.

The beautiful new resort hotel is part of the The Disneyland Resort’s $1.4 billion expansion. The Resort’s centerpiece is Disney’s California Adventure theme park, developed on 55 acres of former parking area, justsouth the Disneyland Main Entrance. Disney’s California Adventure will celebrate the fun and diversity of California’s “Golden State of Mind”.

At the heart of The Disneyland Resort is Downtown Disney, a public esplanade of highly themed retail, dining and entertainment experiences all within walking distance for guest, conventioneers and residents .Downtown Disney connects the two theme parks Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland together with the Disneyland Resort hotels.

The opening of Disney’s Grand California Hotel brings The Disneyland Resort’s hotel district to a total of 2,242 guestrooms, which includesthe existing award-winning Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Pier Hotel (formerly the Disneyland Pacific Hotel).
